Baron Peter Klodt von Jürgensburg (1805 – 1867). Барон Пётр Карлович Клодт.

One of the greatest Russian sculptors of the first half of 19th century. With a Swedish background he grew up in a family of a high rang military officers. Has been modelling and casting statues of a large scale under the direct supervision of the Tsar Nicolas I of Russia. Became a head of the Imperial Foundry (Imperatorsky Liteiny Dvor) in 1838. Modeled and cast several smaller groups, busts and statues, as well.

His grandson – Konstantin Alexandrovich Klodt (1867 – 1928) – also became a sculptor.
